[Fic] NEWS Hotel -prologue-
When Yamapi entered the hotel at 7 o’clock, all dressed in a grey suit that fitted his body too well, Shige was already behind the front desk checking the cardex* of the new guests of the day, He lifted his head and nodded to his boss.
A few meters away, in the back office, Ryo was giving instructions to the bellboys and doormen. When he passed by them Ryo nodded and the others bowed.
In the elevator, Yamapi found Massu.
“Good morning Massu.”
“Good morning boss.”
“Everything’s alright today?”
“Yes, but the pre-paid TV in room 412 is not working. I called the technicians already. They’ll come at around noon.”
“Ask Shige to lock that room until it’s fixed. And call the technicians again and make them come earlier.”
“Yes, boss.”
They went inside the elevator and when the door closed…
“Mou, Massu~ Don’t call me boss! It sound weird.”
“But you’re the boss, Pi. Even if we’ve known each other for 6 years already, huhuhuhuhu.”
The doors opened and Massu left. When the elevator reached the 5th floor, Yamapi exited and went to his office. Once there, he started looking at all the papers on his desk, piling them in little mountains according to their importance.
After no more than 20 minutes later, a knock on his door made him lift his head.
“Come in.”
The door opened, revealing a tall man, dressed in black pants and vest and a white shirt, with a basket full of amenities* and a few papers in his hand.
“Good morning! This is the planning for the day. Shige already gave me the room coverage for the week, we’ll change it if there are new reservations.”
“Ok, how are the new ones doing?”
Yamapi took the papers from Koyama.
“I put them in the 2nd and 3rd floors, the easier ones. Senga and Goseki are watching them. Sanada is adapting well but I think it’s a bit more difficult for Takada, but he’s trying hard ne?”
“That’s good… Ne, when did you leave? I didn’t hear you”
Yamapi looked at him with a spark of hurt in his eyes.
“Around 4 o’clock. You came from your trip at 23:45, it’s pretty normal not hearing me leave the house”
“You could have said something, when I woke up I reached for you in the bed but you were not there…”
Kei chuckled and approached his boyfriend, kissing him lightly on the lips.
“Sorry, but there were things here I needed to take care of. You saw the breakfast right?”
“Yeah, it was delicious, thanks.”
He pecked Koyama again, wrapping his arms around the other waist.
“I’m glad then… Ok! Now we need to work! See you at lunch?”
He lifted himself from Yamapi’s lap and went to the door.
“Yes, do you want to go to that restaurant behind the river?”
“Fine with me. Love you~”
He blew a kiss and left his lover’s office. Yamapi chuckled and turned around to see the view of his hotel, the lake and the little forest, resting his hand behind his head.
Yeah, he could get accustomed to these….

*cardex: document inside the computer program that saves the information about a guest: name, pasport number, room number, the price of their stay, mail adress and things that have to be considered when you assign a room to them, like if they want a king bed or two twin beds, if they prefer a smoking or non smoking room and so on.
*amenities: shampoo, body lotion, gel, soap... those kind of things you can always find in a hotel room
