Still alive and hydrated
Just a note that I am still surviving in AZ. Wicked hot, but a very different heat than what I am used to in WI. Yea yea, dry heat Vs. humid heat. I get it.
Several new things have been visited. Mostly, it's just been a low key visit, with some days doing nothing more than sitting by the pool. Oooh the life I live.
Some pictures, though not too many, as alot of the destinations I've gone have prohibited photography. Really! The Phoenix Museum of Art doesn't like photography. Later on in the trip I'll snap some more, and hopefully post a few. Other times it's just been walking around, shop to shop. Thuroughly dissapointed with Scottsdale, in relation to finding meaningful gifts for people. Either something is mass marketed and manufactured, or it's Authentic Native American art, and priced into the stratosphere. ($600 for a two inch in diameter woven bowl? Sorry about the whole reservation thing, but I'll pass). However, the near life sized bronze works of horses and elk are....envious. If only I had $44,000-67,000 just laying around doing nothing.
So far, 23 is treating me well. Some very nice well wishes from friends and family. As is the tradition, one family member has neglected to make mention of it. Thanks, Dad. Haven't really done anything special for it, either, party wise. Just not the same partying with family.
A few more days here and in a secret city I can't talk about at this time.
