I get a little upset when I hear these so-called moral authorities (I'm ranting about the Pope today) declare unambiguously that homosexuality is 'unnatural'. To quote Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
As I recall word construction from my education, 'unnatural' would be the opposite of nature, not natural, or not occurring in nature. However, zoological studies have made it quite clear that homosexuality occurs quite frequently in other species (particularly in mammals). Hmmm... so it is proven to occur in nature. Wouldn't that by definition make it 'natural'? And if it occurs naturally, what is its purpose? As far as I know, mechanisms like that exist for some reason, whether we know the purpose or not. And isn't denying fundamental nature the so-called sin they would rail against?
But then, I read more than one book for my education. It could be argued that I know more about the world because of it.
