Last week I began a subscription to Netflix. I started at a mid-level plan that allows me one DVD at a time, but more importantly, unlimited steaming. I can stream from their (admittedly small) library to both my high-definition iMac and Xbox. Lots of anime and BBC series available. Woot!

Yesterday I received my first DVD in the mail (Hancock) and ( Read more... )

I really liked Hancock. Sure, the plot was old school and predictable, but as far as comic movies went, it had the goods. It reminded me of The Griffin, a series done first by Slave Labor and then reprinted and extended by DC.

final crisis out today?

i cant bring myself to watch hancock. i may buckle eventually.

anyone else have this problem on streaming netflix? it gives me the bar to 'test' my video capabilities, then it decides im only capable of one out of four bars and starts my selection looking quite horrible. i pause and restart.

sometimes i get up to two bars, and occasionally, i get up to four bars and it says 'HD'. but more often than not, i get one bar, which is worse resolution than a standard antennae feed. i cant start season 1 of 30rock because i cant get more than one bar.

Not me. Always get four bars unless I'm downloading torrents.

I get one bar on my iMac (wired connection) but then I get acceptable quality streams. On my Xbox (wireless downstairs), however, I get one bar and awful pixelation. I wonder if its a difference in the viewers.

it's comic book day!!!

Don't know if you watch Heroes or not but a couple of weeks ago a couple of the characters were looking for a comic book and Hiro said "It's Wednesday, that means it's comic book day!" Gave me and my roommate a good chuckle.
