Who would want an idol like Jin Akanishi?!
(an open letter to Jin Akanishi for his birthday)
JIN AKANISHI, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆
Okay. I don't know how to start. I don't even know what to say. You don't even know me for sure, or at least all you know is that I'm a fan like any one else who greets you. But you, made me realize the difference between a fan and a Loyal Subject.
You aren't my very first favorite Japanese idol to be honest. Not because I betrayed or lost love of my previous ichiban, but it just happened. Unconsciously just found myself following you.
You always play around, seems not serious, stubborn, defiant, you just do what you wanna do. So there lies the question, "Who would want an idol like that?!" Fans want a serious, shining brightly, walk-in-a-straight-path artist, I-will-always-look-good-on-camera artist. But not you, Jin. Loyal Subjects realize, that is really you, being honest and living a life without hesitations. You are a person who is just either a "love me" or a "hate me" type. And I can put myself on the previous. I have learned all of those over the years. Just like I've been saying, you may not be the IDOL everyone expects you to be. But you are INDEED a great artist, musician, singer, dancer and most importantly, an HONEST man. We've learned to embrace all your faults, your imperfectness as an idol, even if others scrutinize you to the best of those haters can. We cant just always expect good things to happen as we learned to support you UNCONDITIONALLY. For me, that is the difference of being a fan and a Loyal Subject. You made us realize how human you still are. Quoting what a friend (@ Jennishi) said, "You cant just put a good man down".
There are times, several times that you or perhaps your agency hurt us so bad that we even cried; especially when you left KAT-TUN, and the sudden unexpected marriage that leads to your suspension/hiatus. That left us hanging, felt betrayed and unimportant. But I hate it that I dont hate you, even a little, not even close, not even at all ,even if half of the world does. Thinking again, few years back, you mentioned of a dream to become a family man and raise your own kids, and it was always your dream to become an ARTIST the way you want it to be. That way, you'll be happy and eventually create a better outcome to make your Loyal Subjects happy too. I salute you for the decision in the end. We might not know what the real story is, but we always believe you to do what is best for you, realizing that it might hurt temporarily, but will be a long-term happiness in the end.
Now that the Bakanishi we loved, love and will love eternally is coming back, I CAN JUST CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOU. You literally made another soul happy. I wish you a great time on stage again and we will spread our arms wide open to welcome you back, ready to hug the future with you and happily say "Hey What's Up?". We miss your voice, those moves and facial expressions that makes our hearts go dokidoki, those out-of-the world thoughts and the natural hilarious humour you bring.
Now going back to my main question, "Who would want an idol like that?!" The answer is "ME, US, YOUR LOYAL SUBJECTS".
