I went to the American Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine annual conference in Chicago for half a week. It was my first professional conference of this size and I went equipped with brand new "big girl" clothes. Even got a dress suit. =O
Overall, it was a great trip. I learned a great deal and met lots of interesting people. Collected a nice stack of business cards. Got some tips for what the future holds.
My only regret was that the conference wasn't in Chicago. -_- It was in Wheeling, IL which is about 40 minutes north of Chicago downtown. So I was all excited about seeing Chicago at night and stuff for no reason. =( I didn't have enough time to commute such distances for sightseeing.
Now that I'm back, it's almost like a vacation in that I have to pick up all the school stuff I wasn't doing like homework and studying. However, I also went as a student representative from my school so I've got articles and talks to plan out for the school. o_O
Why do I find ways to make myself crazy busy?
