The sound of rain against the window, the faint scent of his cologne mixed with mine, the warmth of his body next to me, the lingering aftertaste of our kiss, the feel of his skin running under my fingers… If only time could stop right at this moment.
Thanks to the alcohol for some confidence boost, I leaned closer to him and planted a kiss on the bridge of his nose, only to catch something in his eyes that made me afraid; afraid of him telling me that all these sessions had to end - because I don’t want them to.
I don’t mind that he was not able to return my love, but I just want to be with him. It was fine even if there was not going to be sex involved, I was even fine with just holding hands... When had I become so clingy towards him?
Hearing my name on his lips made me shiver. I caught his gaze while he wrapped an arm around my waist. There was a moment of silence as he kept his eyes on mine, as if searching for the right words to convey his thoughts.
“Let’s officially date.” He said slowly. Before we both knew, tears were forming in my eyes. How long had I been waiting for this moment?
“I guess I fell in love after all… with you.” He brushed my tears away with a thumb. “So let’s date.”
His forehead bumped onto mine, and I gave a slight nod to acknowledge what he had just said

“I love you.” I whispered softly as he slowly leaned in for another kiss.
“Un. Me too.”
