Have you ever typed out a long post and then deleted it all because you knew that it would be more trouble than it was worth to post it?
Yeah.
And then you type it again, and then delete it again and finally you realize you have to type something or your heartburn will get worse.
So... here's the really, really short version of just a few things

I live in PG-13 land, and surprisingly I'm accepted. But I do feel all kinds of intimidated ALL THE TIME because there's so much smut out there. I feel like people won't even give my stuff a chance because there's no smut, I've never written smut, so there's a really, really good chance that any story by me will contain NO SMUT. And therefore, I lost 80% of the readership!
When I get into little funks, this is usually the cause. GRRR...

You are not the only one. We're just a very rare breed, I guess!

But it's like... yeah... I just notice it every time there's recs. And, to be honest, I've felt the difference between Silencio and Bracelet as well. I've had to fight a lot harder for the Bracelet readers and don't tell me that it's because Silencio is just that much zomg better. -_- I can also see it in the difference between feedback on e.g. In The Darkness vs. Sillyfic. It's just too obvious for me not to notice.
And I get funks too. And full-blown tantrums. I just sort of manage to hide the latter better. XD

Agree with you about the recs. And yeah. I've been told that the dramione fandom, especially, loves its smut. And not to get too depressed about it. LOL. Hard to swallow when fic A, where he calls her Hermy-poo and "Hermione" is spelled wrong over and over gets 20 reviews on CG, but my one-shots get, like, 5. LOL. WHATEVER, I'm not bitter.

*gently pats the not-bitter floo* Told ya, at the next Dramione Awards, include a PG-13 category and make people pay attention. :D
