Am at Maz's parents' this weekend.
This morning we went out to spend money we don't have get Kupo a wardrobe he fit into. (His new Proud to be Loud T-shirt ftw! Although why I got him a cardigan with a skull and something like 'Born to Battle' printed on it idk. But he'll be the scariest kid in daycare! XD) That was all well and good, and then we got back at three in the afternoon to, among other things, Maz's brother in a bathrobe! (Yes,
unclefullbeard, I'm looking at you!)
Him: Heyyyy!
Maz: Oh, hey.
Me: O HAI THAR, NEKKID TEENAGER!
Maz: Bwaha!
Him: Hey, I won't be for much longer!
Me: What? Nekkid or teenager?
Maz: *practising his best girlish giggle*
Turns out both. His 20th birthday is in May (and that will be the day that I officially don't know any more teens IRL) and he wore actual clothes when we later got back from the cinema.
Me: DIDN'T RECOGNISE YOU WITH YOUR CLOTHES ON!
Him: I THOUGHT YOU WOULDN'T! THUS THE EXTRA WELCOME HUG!
... Ahahaha, I guess he's kind of cool. For a teen. *ducks the rotten tomatoes from the teens on her f-list*
ABOUT THE CINEMA!
We finally got around to watching that newfangled Avatar 3D thingie, and on the biggest screen around too. Not too shabby. Couldn't tell you if it was any good though; I was dazzled by all the pretty. Although, at some point I did have this thought that it was like a Dragonriders of Pern / Smurfs crossover in a futuristic space AU. :D
And then there were those little deus ex machina things. Like...
HERO: I need to prove myself! I heard that people that can tame the BIG dragon (it IS so a dragon, what part of DRAGONRIDERS OF PERN aren't you getting?) are super extra special and rare and respected, these super warrior people hasn't had one in, like, four or five generations, so I will just go get one, BRB!
*five minutes later*
HERO: OK, I can has dragon now after a very dramatic fade-to-black moment! Where were we? Oh, right! JOIN ME!
Did I ever mention how going to the cinema always means me ingesting FAR too much sugar and being a bit off in the head when posting afterwards? Yeeeaaahhhh...
In other news, did manage to send the last of Bracelet out to my betas. Yay! Did that on Maz's birthday (the 10th) cuz... well... it was his birthday and he wanted the ending. Even got some feedback! Just didn't, you know, reply to it or implement it yet.
I know some people find it odd that I make you wait between chapters when it's already written, but, dudes! I worked my butt off on that thing and all I want in return is for each chapter to be appreciated on their own by the brave WIP-readers, PLUS some time to write on other stuff where there's no nagging, while this is being finished up. And when it comes down to it, I can kinda post them however I want, no? It's not like posting in various places isn't a royal pain. God, I can't wait to ditch some of these sites and just link my fics on the comms rather than post the actual chapters there. Oh, sweet release from arduous labour.
Ok. That's about what I have to say to all you strange LJ people.
Oh, except I have a new addiction to facebook games. I don't use it for anything else, but I could use game friends! So add Akasha Kitty (DOUBT you'll find anyone else with that name) if you want to share spam!
