One of my obsessions is Making Lists of Things
I was going to have my say on Planet of The Dead, but I'm too lazy. It'll have to wait until tomorrow or something. Instead, have a list of Who companions from Other Times and Places vs. those from Contemporary Times and/or Places, i.e. whatever decade it was when said companions made their appearances. Mostly to dissprove the notion that the companion needs to ''root'' (thanks to lizbee , I can never again take that word seriously) the Doctor by being from London in ''our'' time.

*** She stated in Pyramids of Mars (?) that she was from 1980, leading to confusion about when Three's and part of Four's era actually takes place.
So, that's 17 companions from another time/and or world and 18 contemporary ones. Split almost perfectly even, although companions being from London is hardly new. I might've left out someone. I deliberately left out companions from the audios, etc.
