I don't normally watch American Idol, but one of the contestants, Lakisha, is from a city that is about an hour away from where I live. Since I had nothing better to do tonight, I decided to check it out and see how good she was.
Holy. Crap.
She was AMAZING. Totally blew the other contestants out of the water. She sounds like a pro, and has this amazing stage presence. She was so good, I might actually bother VOTING, which is something I have never bothered to do.
If she doesn't make it to the top two, at LEAST, I will lose all faith in democracy.
In other news 300 is a kick-ass movie. I've already seen it twice and wouldn't mind going again.
