We started pet sitting for Emma Jayne or The Sausage on Sunday. Many reasons to be happy. Cute but pushy dog, cute but occasionally violent cat, very good library and all the American junk food I could ever want. Bad but ohhh so good. Polli, the owner, is so sweet. She gets Army Base priviledges which means PX food. Shes makes the rounds and finds out what everyone needs and comes back with boxes of food. I got big bottles of vanilla extract and Kraft mac and cheese. I hate mac and cheese usually but not Kraft. Weird.
Work is going well. I'm still the newby and still trying to figure everything out. So far its a lot of customer service and furniture moving. I feel exhausted at the end of the day and my feet burn with pain but I feel happy. I feel relieved. Safe. Employed. I need to buy some more clothes. I am sightly over dressed. It seems to be more Gap commercial with heels here. Like ACS. JK.
When we finally get back to our own house then I will have all the lovely reading time on the bus and tube. I recently finished Fried Green Tomatoes. I just picked it up on Sunday and curled up in a big chair to relax before I went to work for the first time. Very cute and sad.
