Employment
As in I am now not living off savings! On friday I got THE call that said if I was free on the third then I had the job. I was so thrilled I almost cried. Its a position as a conferencing assistant with MLS Business Centers. Its a pretty big but private company with about 70 locations all over the UK. Basically its a reception job that also means I help out with the conferences. All I care is that I am employed and will be making a lot more money with regular hours. I will see my husband more, get to work on Shaftsbury Avenue, make more money and get to work with Brits. I don't know why thats important but its like a silly bonus. I'm in a daze but thrilled. I'm going out on Saturday with Shami and Greg to celebrate. Drinks in Soho. Hopefully somewhere less loud than the gay club we went to last time.
Todays is the British Mothers Day so yesterday we had flowers and chocolate sent to Dans Mom (shes is off to Spain today) and we took my Mom off to Rules Restaurant in Covent Garden. Its the oldest restaurant in London and serves a mean Roast Beef with a Yorkshire Pudding the size of my face. I'm not kidding. I tried to get reservations at Simpsons but they were too booked or too posh. I don't care. I had Lobster Bisque for the first time just because I wanted to give it a try. I too wanted to be posh. My mom was happy we were there and got her some nice flowers.
On my way to my interview that lead to this job I finally finished reading The Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway. Depressing but a quick read.
