Well, I did it!
I put in an offer on a condo.
It's not the same one I posted pics of the other day, but it's next door, so the floor plan is the same, only mirrored. And nothing about the decor is crazy. Quite the opposite, actually: it's excruciatingly boring to the point of being borderline ugly. Sickly yellow walls, grey laminate cabinets, greyish-white laminate countertops. BUT. At the end of the day, it needs just about exactly the same amount of work as the crazy tile place, and it costs ten thousand dollars less.
Ten thousand dollars can fix a lot of boring. =P
My real estate agent seems pretty confident that my offer will be accepted, and that we will actually probably be able to close within a few weeks, if all goes smoothly. That... that is crazy. But good. I will definitely want to spend a couple of weeks in there fixing things up before I actually move in. (Wait... driving back and forth to a new condo on my free days, painting walls and carting belongings over, in the end of July, to move in early August... why does this seem familiar?)
So... I'm excited! And also just a little bit freaking out. And also just sort of exhausted by the last nine days. I think I've had a headache almost every single day since last week Saturday. I know I've wound up crying at some point every single day. It would be so, so nice to have just one aspect of my life actually pinned down.
Working tomorrow on a movie called Welcome to People, then Wednesday I have to go to school to take the exam I'm going to be missing this weekend (my very last massage class!), and then Thursday morning it's off to Denver for my cousin's wedding. Hopefully they don't need me for any urgent paperworky things while I'm gone!
