STELLA!

Took my niece to see The Princess and the Frog saturday. Was so cute. It takes place in New Orleans. So it was full of the jazz, and singing and dancing. And of course the bad guy was working some dark voodoo. (the little girl in front of us was so scared during some of those parts she got up from her seat to hide)

Well anyway, there's a dog in the movie, and her name is Stella. And shortly after the main characters are turned into frogs, Stella's owner sics her on them.
And he's screaming "STELLAAAAAAAAAA!". And of course I just start cracking up like nobody's buisness, because come on set in New Orleans, Stella, think Brando, think Street Car Name Desire, hell think due South and you should come up the reason for my giggles.

The rest of the movie...just super cute. I highly recommend (if you're into cute Disney films that is.) Though, Ismene, voodoo man is kinda scary. He has shadow creature friends, there's a reason that girl was scared. Not that your boys want to see a 'Princess' movie.

Also saw Nine. Tiff really wanted to see it, and we were going to go on NYE, but got distracted watching The Hangover on dvd. Which is okay cuz it was at the cheap theater this week. And truth be told I wasn't that interested in seeing it. And Tiff was all like you don't want to see the musical? OMG. Acting wise, they were great, singing wise, ditto. But that movie was not at all upbeat (not that all musicals need to be), and we were so bored during parts of it. Though, I'm pretty sure that boys seeing it--as most of the females are scantily-clad through out the whole thing and when they're not they're in coutour, plus you know all the 'sexiness'.
She was sad that no one wanted to see it and I tried to tell her that I didn't definately NOT want to see it, and reminded her of the time I didn't want to see Transformers and she dragged me to it and it was awesome. But wow. I'm not even sure she liked it.
