The Devil Makes Better Movie than Book
Saw The Devil Wears Prada with Josh tonight.
I must say, movie far less boring than the book. But then again... i'm betting most things are.
And its not that the book doesn't have at least an interesting concept, or that Andy isn't a likeable character to follow, it's just high-strung melodrama of the fashion world strung together with a first name basis of designers who's names I don't always immediately recognize in print. That and...nothing happens for a long time.
There was a dull bit in the movie too..but it lasted five minutes not fifteen chapters. And the ending (of the movie, as I haven't made it that far in the book) is actually rewarding. Plus...we were late so we missed all of those dreadful commercials. The times board actually states that there's approx 12 min of preshow before each feature.
Oh and TJ's team has advanced a level in the tournament. Tomorrow night is game #2, we shall pray that there are enough kids there to play. Need 9, last night had to borrow a kid from another team to be able to play. Stupid tourney falling during summer vacation time.
