The mysteries of online dating

Big. Question. Feel free to contribute here. Cause I'm stumped.

Case in point :

Male A. Very cute. Funny. We get along. He ends up finding a GF. I stop contacting him. An e-mail today. Basically : wanna hook up ? Oh, and the GF ? Yeah, he's still with her. Huuuuuuuuuh... if he'll do it with you, he'll do it to you. No thanks.

Male B. Rawwwr. Funny, we get along. He sees other people. Find his profile on FB. Oh! Lookie! In a relationship! If for fun, not funny. If real, even less funny.

Sad Sandrine is Sad, to be honest.

It's not that these men are taken. Because let's face it, everyday single people lay their eyes on other people and sometimes they're taken, sometimes they're not of the same orientation, sometimes they just don't want to date. That's life.

What DOES sadden me is the fact that men will either conveniently omit to say they're in a relationship, or they will get into one and think they can cheat on their new girlfriend with the girl they didn't choose.

Let's be honest here. I know that there are women who would be perfectly happy with a no strings attached relationship. Some may be fine being the "other woman" .

But I'm not like that. I want someone for myself. I don't want to own a man, or emprison one. I don't want to demand anything. I just want to share something nice with someone who's nice.

Things could be easier, I guess. But they're not, and I'll have to cope. Would be better if men stopped assuming the women they talk to can be treated that way.

So yeah. BOO to those men.

:)
