Summary: A story about love and hate, about knights and damsels, about good over evil... At least we think that way.

The Knight in the Shining Armor versus the Damsel in Distress

Once upon a time, there lived a monster called Creepy Creebro, the creepiest of the creepers. Creebro had a brother and was very jealous that said brother was born with a beautiful face very unlike his hideous one. He was so very jealous that he locked him in a dark and tremendously tall tower.

Where he went every night to molest him.

And his poor brother could only stay in the tower, with only his servant, Tao, to accompany him. And because he couldn’t go anyway, his hair grew and grew...making Creebro more and more jealous.

But Creebro did not dare to send a barber to the tower for fear that people will discover his evil misdeeds. And also because he was afraid that someone will try to take his beautiful brother away from him. Because even though he hated him for his beauty, he couldn’t live without him.

***

On the other side of the land lived a knight.

His blond mane was shining in the morning sun just as brightly as his armor. His face resembled that of the ancient Nordic gods, well-defined and full of masculine charm. His body was also as firm and strong like the nobles of the past.

Wherever he went, an air of nobility followed, and ladies fell to his charm like sunflowers following the sun. Women wanted him and men wanted to be like him.

But Mikhail has no eyes for all of them. To him, the noble ladies were just too eager to please. They were not a challenge at all.

And Mikhail lived for challenges.

But nowhere in the town he lived in could he find any. And so he set upon a long journey to the west, seeking a challenge.

***

And this fateful day, Mikhail entered the town named Kingkong. The village seemed dark and shabby; the townspeople wary and tired. The only thing that stood proudly in there was a tower upon a lofty hill.

The knight, after entering the town and paying the ridiculously high tax for crossing the local bridge, went to seek encampment in a tavern near the walls. He needed rest after his long journey and he also wanted to polish his armor. It was not shining enough anymore.

So as Mikhail the Royal Knight with the Holy Blond Hair polished his armor in the comfort of his room, with a glass of wine placed neatly on the small table, he overheard some talking outside the door. He was able to do that because of his superhuman hearing powers. The voices were talking about "a long-haired beauty being locked in a tower... all alone and sad..." They also talked about an evil monster, who tortured the beauty every day and night.

Being the righteous knight that he was, Mikhail knew he could not let the beauty suffer any longer. But he also knew that he could not do any saving without a good night's rest. And so he slept.

The sun rose bright and early the next day and the chirping of birds could be heard behind the windows. And Mikhail immediately went to do what he must do.

Brushing his teeth.

'Cause a knight must have shining white teeth. And so he brushed his teeth, not forgetting to floss them as well. In the process, he thought of how to save the damsel in distress.

After his teeth shone like the brightest star, he quickly polished his armor, again, and walked from the tavern. He looked at the tall tower erected on the steep hill and thought that its keeper was surely compensating for something.

So, Mikhail walked to the tower. Walking, ‘cause it was always good to take a morning stroll and appreciate what the morning has to offer. Spotting a beautiful purple flower by the roadside, Mikhail decided to stop and pluck one, thinking the fair maiden would like it. Walking casually along, he spotted some bushes growing ripe blueberries. Realizing that he hadn't had his breakfast yet, Mikhail borrowed a basket from a nearby villager and started to pluck the berries, humming a childhood melody happily.

"Oh joyful day, what a bright and cheery day..." (Note to readers: Please compose your own melody.)

The now basketless villager screamed in the background, but Mikhail's song was too powerful for anyone to hear. Finally reaching the bottom of the tower, Mikhail looked up and discovered a small rectangular window right on the very top.

'Hmm... There must be where the fair maiden is,' Mikhail thought, 'But how do I get up there?'

Deciding to try his luck, Mikhail shouted, "Knock knock!" Then he added with a laugh, "Just kidding! Oh fair maiden with the long black hair, are you up there by any chance?"

In the room, Rapunfei was having his hair nicely brushed by Tao. When Mikhail shouted, Rapunfei frowned, wondering who that idiot making a nuisance was. He got up and gracefully glided to the only window in his tower room. The long haired beauty looked down from the window and was taken aback by the blinding light that seemed to shine from the bottom of the tower.

"Stop shining at me with the freaking torchlight, you bastard! Who stands there?"

Mikhail looked up and was immediately captured by the beautiful ebony eyes of the fair maiden. So fair was the maiden that Mikhail fell in love right that instant.

"It is I, Knight of the East Aissur, Sir Mikhail. I have come to save you from the depths of hell, m'lady!”

"M'lady?" Rapunfei screamed. "I'll get you for that!"

And Rapunfei grabbed his hairbrush from Tao and threw it down. Mikhail thought Rapunfei was sending him a love present and caught it accurately. He looked up at Rapunfei with adoration beaming in his eyes. "Oh m'lady, I can't wait to be by your side. Tell me, how can I reach you?"

Rapunfei tossed his hair over his shoulder and grumbled, "Stupid man. M'lady, my ass."

"Aren't you supposed to be a knight? Find a way to come here yourself!"

Mikhail pondered deeply, thinking of what to do. Suddenly, after staring in awe at the brush in his hand, he had an idea.

"Oh fair maiden, so you have given me a clue! Let down your hair and I will climb up there and save you this instant."

"Do you have any idea how that would hurt?!"

Mikhail looked up at Rapunfei sadly. "But..."

"Think of a way by yourself! Still call yourself a superknight..."

Suddenly, Mikhail saw lights of realization in front of his eyes. That's it! He's a superknight, he's SuperMik... HE CAN FLY! WOOHOO! Carefully placing the flower in his waist pouch and holding the half-basket of berries tightly, he kicked his legs and presto! He was in front of the window!

The villagers who looked up at that very moment screamed simultaneously, "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Supermik!"

Rapunfei could only stand there in sheer shock as Mikhail happily climbed into the room. He blinked his eyes and then finally shook his head to clear his shock. He turned around to ask Tao, "Are you seeing what I am seeing?"

"I think I am, Rapunfei-sama."

Mikhail knelt down on his knees and handed Rapunfei the flower he kept in his waist-pouch. “Oh fair maiden, if I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden.”

Rapunfei blushed a deep crimson and uncertainly took the wild flower, wondering if it was poisonous. Looking at Rapunfei take the flower, Tao, who was still standing behind, swooned with puppy eyes. ‘What an amazing knight, to bestow Rapunfei-sama with a gift the first time they meet. Is that what they called ‘noble manners’?’

Rapunfei brought the flower to his nose and smelled it. His blush deepened at its surprisingly sweet smell. But suddenly realizing what he did, Rapunfei hurriedly pushed the flower to Tao. Then he turned to Mikhail, "Just who are you exactly? Did you just FLY up here or do I need to get some ugly nerdy specs?"

"Oh, fair maiden… My love for you carried me."

Rapunfei narrowed his eyes and kicked Mikhail on the shin.

"Stop bullshitting, you idiot. And if you call me ‘m'lady’ or ‘fair maiden’ one more time, I'll kick your knighty butt off the tower! Maybe you are the one who needs some ugly, nerdy specs..."

Rapunfei flipped his hair over his shoulder in anger, but that action backfired on him. Mikhail was so mesmerized by that action, that he didn't hear a thing of what Rapunfei said. His heart fluttered in amazement and he moved himself forward, looping his hand around Rapunfei's slender waist. He pressed the lithe body against his and sighed in bliss.

Rapunfei's face turned red in color, either from embarrassment, anger or simply because he ate too many tomatoes, you choose one.

But Mikhail’s blissful cuddling did not last long, as his manly hands soon realized they were roaming along an equally manly body. Mikhail released Rapunfei slightly and looked in puzzlement at the beautiful face in front of him.

"My fair... lady?"

Rapunfei rolled his eyes and grabbed Mikhail's left hand, placing it on his own chest. "Took you long enough."

Getting over the shock of Rapunfei being so direct, Mikhail tapped his finger on his chin, thinking for a few seconds. Then he grabbed Rapunfei and hugged him tightly, once again.

"Ah... You are still my fair lady no matter what. Your beauty has transcended the borders of gender and logic.”

“Be mine, my fair and gentle one. I will save you from this place of hell and bring you back to my castle, where you will never feel fear ever again."

Rapunfei looked up into Mikhail's blue eyes and couldn't help but shivered in fear. 'Did I offend somebody to deserve this?' Rapunfei pondered deeply.

Suddenly, heavy footsteps echoed in the tower. As the sounds got louder and closer, Tao cowered behind Rapunfei in fear. Contrastingly, Rapunfei just looked at the clock on the wall and sat down on a nearby cushioned chair. He placed his right leg on top of his left knee and thought grumpily, ‘So it's that time of the day again? The clock must be running low of batteries...’

Fei waved a hand towards Mikhail and said, "I had fun. But can you please go now? Shoo fly shoo."

But in that very moment, the heavy doors of Rapunfei's room flew open and the keeper of the tower waltzed in the room. His sunken little eyes gazed angrily around the chamber.

“Who's this shining piece of scum here?" He looked directly at Mikhail. "Hey you. How did you get into my tower?"

Mikhail crossed the room, unsheathed his shining sword in the process, and stood proudly before Creebro. However, Creebro did not pay any attention to the knight and walked to where Rapunfei was sitting. He knelt down and took his brother’s hand.

"Oh, my fiery dragon!"

Rapunfei made a disgusted face.

"You fiend!" exclaimed Mikhail. He swung his sword in between Rapunfei and Creebro, shouting, "Devil! leave my fair lady alone!"

Both Rapunfei and Creebro looked towards Mikhail at the same time, thinking, 'Fair lady again?'

Feeling ignored, Mikhail moved to stand in front of Rapunfei, protecting him from the ghastly sight of Creebro. "Don't worry m'lady, I will not let this one-mole guy touch a hair on you." Then he added, "Those are for me."

Creebro looked sharply at Mikhail and pointed at Rapunfei, who was quietly sitting on his chair. "He's Mine! My Own! My Precioussssss!"

Mikhail swung his sword in fury, roaring in extreme rage, "BAD IMPERSONATORS LIKE YOU SHOULD BE KILLED!"

Realizing that it was going to be a tough fight, Creebro summoned his Creepy Demon Sword™ out from somewhere and raised it up to block the furious slash.

"Ha, do you think you can do better? Show me!"

Mikhail growled and kicked Creebro on the leg suddenly, causing the monster to fall down. "Knights like me don't do that kind of things. We watch and comment, we don't do. We are just like movie critics."

Creebro cursed and hurriedly rolled to the side before Mikhail's shining sword crashed onto him. Creebro stood up and brushed the dirt off his expensive coat. "Ha, do you think you can beat me that easily?" He slammed his blade across, causing metal sparks to fly.

Tao and Fei watched at the sidelines, eating popcorn. Tao was speechless while Rapunfei was just plain bored. He would rather watch Desperate Housewives than this. But oh well, at least it felt kind of satisfying seeing that pervert brother of his getting chased around the room.

Mikhail strode forward, using his Supermik powers to slowly gain an edge over Creebro. And his super shining sword constantly released flashes of white glory, blinding Creebro occasionally.

"Grrrr..." Creebro growled, not believing he was going to lose to this guy with the weird hairdo. But he still had a special weapon.

Just when Mikhail thought he was going to secure a victory and swung his sword downwards, Creebro squatted down and moved to the side.

"Bwahahaa. Fear my special summon!"

With a creepy laughter, Creebro raised his sword high above and summoned his secret weapon - Creepy Moles of Destruction™! At that, lots of grey moles appeared out of somewhere and dashed towards Mikhail, fangs bared and shining.

However, Creebro had forgotten that Mikhail's sword had been specially polished with care and precision every night and thus shone like the bright morning sun. The hideous faces of the creepy Moles reflected off the surface of the Shiny Sword and immediately, the Moles screamed in horror, fearful of their own looks.

So they scurried away, back to somewhere.

Mikhail smirked and brought his sword down, slashing it across Creebro's shoulder. Then he gave Creebro a powerful kick in the balls with his strong leg and Creebro fell back with a thud. Unluckily for our highly-paid villain, the stairs was behind him and he had no choice but to roll down the steps with many more thuds. A regretful scream was the last that was heard of him.

Rapunfei, who had started to refine his fingernails some time ago, looked at the doorway and then at Mikhail, who was sheathing his Shiny Sword. "Took you long enough." He said while Tao was crying tears of joy at the side.

The little boy turned to his master and sobbed, "Rapunfei-sama! We are saved! This man is our hero! He's so cool! Rapunfei-sama!"

Rapunfei turned to look at the excited little boy and couldn't help but smiled in return. "Yes Tao, we are safe now."

Mesmerized by the rare smile on Rapunfei’s face, Mikhail crossed the room in a flash and took Rapunfei in his arms again, squeezing tightly. "My dear maiden, you are safe now. Come back to me to my castle and I will treat you like the fair lady you are."

Rapunfei snorted. "I might consider coming with you. But I'm adding 'maiden' to the list of words you're prohibited to use!"

"Yes yes, whatever you say, my fair lady."

"And ‘lady’ too!" Rapunfei pouted.

"How should I call you then, oh beautiful one?"

"Just call me Fei. Rapunfei."

"Ah... A beautiful name for a beautiful one like you. My name is Mikhail. Mikhail and Rapunfei... They are meant for each other."

Then Mikhail stretched out his hand and Rapunfei took it. Even though he was still hesitant about this strange knight, but wherever he took him would be better than this place. Taking Tao by the hand, Rapunfei left the gloomy tower along with the beaming Mikhail.

Just as they exited the tower, Mikhail turned to his fair maiden. "Oh my dear Fei, shouldn't I have a reward for my hard work?"

Rapunfei looked him straight in his eyes and brought his lips to Mikhail's. The long haired beauty stood on the tips of his toes, one hand locked behind the knight’s neck and the other covering Tao's eyes.

"Take that as a token of my gratitude," he said when they parted.

Mikhail blinked his eyes in slight surprise, but then quickly wrapped his arms around Rapunfei. "Oh Fei, even your kiss is beautiful!"

"Hey hey!" Rapunfei scolded, beating Mikhail away. "Don't take more than you are given. C'mon Tao, let's go."

Assuming that his fair maiden was just being rightfully shy, Mikhail hurried after them and went beside Tao, taking the little boy’s other hand. And they walked together into the sunset, living happily ever after… The end?
