it's spring break!
yay! finally! so, i'm in florida, sarasota florida to be exact. my mom, sarah and i flew in yesterday and are staying with my dad in his condo thing - seems like a funny situation, doesn't it, but it's really not. my dad works and lives in florida, while we live, well, in texas ... i suppose that is kindof a funny situation actually. so, we've been doing the tourist thing; walking around taking pictures adn looking extreamly pale...which i suppose is better than looking lobster red like alot of the tourists around. we even did the beach thing - but that was kindof eerie. there's this "red tide" going on and it's covering the coast in this odd shroud of mist. we stepped onto the beach and the first thing we saw was this little old lady emerging from the fog and sitting on the sand knitting a red something. walking on we saw people walking around and trying to do normal beach stuff, only to look down and see dead fish scattered at our feet, washed up all over the tide line. it was so odd! we left quickly, opting for the pool at the condo with clear blue skies overhead. we're off to dinner. aisk!
