A Brand New Year
Well, I have largely been indulging in time for myself since my family departed. I have slept in, I have only done simple cooking, and I have simply pampered myself.
I have managed to be somewhat productive. I put the house most of the way back together, and tackled the giant mountain of laundry left behind by my guests. Oxiclean took the cranberry and gravy stains out of my white tablecloth. I have not yet managed to write the pile of thank you notes I owe, or take down the Christmas decorations. I have however, visited Victoria's Secrets blow out sale twice. ;) The first time I only came home with a cute pair of undies, but yesterday, I took the Mister and he did some early birthday shopping for me. I think those are some of the prettiest things I've ever owned!
New Year's Eve was very nice. We were invited to a small gathering held by a member of my vintage enthusiasts forum. She invited a couple other members, and we rang in the New Year sampling her cooking talents, sipping champagne and playing Scattergories.
Well, I hope everyone had a marvelous New Year's Eve, and that you all have a safe, happy, healthy, prosperous 2009!!
