焦らず= without panicking, so 'Going slowly without panicking' :)

ah! D: (but it says here in the dictionary 'to be impatient/to be in a hurry') thank you!

The verb itself does mean 'to panic' but the form it's in turns it into the negative. Like '食べずに' would be 'without eating' etc~

so the 'zu' makes it a negative form then? :D

Yeah, the pattern is something like verb in negative form - the ない + ず XD so you can make sentences like 'I left the house without eating' in that sort of way....
