Day from hell.
I tried to PT it to work today and guess what? The Metra doesn't stop regularly at 103rd. I foudn that out when I was downtown at the station. There was no way I'd make it on time taking the red line and a bus so I called in. I woke up at 5:30am for nothing.
Since my car was moving yesterday, I decided to take it to the shop after my nap. It's putting along slowly when it decides to not move anymore at the six-way. I forgot my cell phone since I was in such a rush to leave. A nice fellow lent me his and missed his bus to do it. I call roadside assistance they say 70 fucking minutes. I tell them my cell number. I run home to get my phone. After thirty minutes of watching people stop behind my car with no lights and hazards flashing, someone finally helps me, but not before some jerk off yells at me to move my car. I roll down my window and start screaming, "DO YOU THINK I'M FUCKING SUPERGIRL AND CAN JUST LIFT UP MY CAR OUT THE FUCKING WAY? DO YOU FUCKING THINK I DID THIS ON PURPOSE? I'VE GOT MY FUCKING HAZARDS ON, YOU DIP SHIT!" He said, "Oh" and drove off. Anyway, nice guy got my car to move out of the way because he's miraculous and I'm not. I call roadside assistance again to let them know I moved and they say they've been there but they called my home phone and need to dispatch again. NO FUCKING TRUCK WAS THERE, FUCKING LIARS!. I hang up and call the shop. They say they are closing and I beg them to stay open because I'm not that far. They agree. I putt putt my car to my shop and name drop the owner who's always been a superstar to me. I hope it's just a tune up, but it's likely I'll need really expensive transimission shit done. I've got to get rid of this car. I call Mike to pick me up and he does and now I'm home.
Thank fuck there are some nice people in this world who'll help a lady when she's in trouble.
Tomorrow, I take the blue line, the red line, and a bus to work. Two-hour commute! Holla!
At least we're going on a field trip.
Also, thank God Casey's car will get us to Madison. I really fucking need a mini-vacation after this shit.
