Chapter Twenty Five ~The Reason~

Eagerly, Ryo watched his Toy scoot closer.  A deep sense of calm over having the younger back as well as pent up desires he’d barely gotten to feed before Manatsu had assaulted his home just washed over him in waves.

The boy took Ryo into his mouth and it was just as good as Ryo remembered.  Ryo snaked his fingers through his Toy’s hair and completely took over control, thrusting with his hips in a coordinated effort with the hand whose fingers he had wound through the younger’s hair until he was hitting the back of the boy’s throat pretty forcefully.  His Toy was used to it, though, so he didn’t gag.

But then something changed.  The younger tensed and then pulled away, freeing his head from Ryo’s grasp without a whole lot of trouble because Ryo simply hadn’t expected it at all.

His Toy started scrambling backwards, away from him.

How dare he.

How dare he!

Maybe he didn’t learn his lesson well enough back at the house.  Well, Ryo could fix that.  He advanced on the boy who kept scrambling backwards until he couldn’t anymore because he hit the wall.  He was crying and shaking his head.

Crying, huh?  Ryo could give him something to really cry about.  He backhanded his plaything again, as hard as he could.  Grabbing him by the hair and jerking him forward, Ryo hissed, “You’re acting like you have a choice in any of this when you know very well you don’t.  You knew that before you came back.  So I can only assume you’re trying to bait me, you stupid whore.”

Ryo pulled the younger to his feet, dragging him across the room to the dresser.  Holding onto the boy with the one hand, he started searching through his drawers for something to tie his Toy’s hands together.  He didn’t have a bar installed on the wall here, but the bed post might do the trick for now.

Ah ha!  Neckties.  Not just for business meetings…  He grabbed a couple of them and shoved the dresser drawer closed once more.

His Toy kept trying to pull out of his grasp but he wasn’t making any noticeable progress.  Ryo dragged him to the foot of the bed and then kneed him hard in the stomach.  As the boy coughed, trying to get his breath back, Ryo grabbed one wrist and started to wrap the necktie around it.

What happened next he never saw coming.

When Kame had overheard Jin and the gang man talk about where He was, everything had seemed so clear despite his slowed state.  He knew just what he had to do and he was resolved.

So he’d left.  He’d stolen some scrubs from an unlocked locker in one of the rooms he passed and changed into them and once he was out made his way towards His apartment.  He had to wander for a bit to find it but the instructions Jin had given on the phone were pretty much dead on so it wasn’t that hard to get there.

Ryo hadn’t been surprised to see him.  His sureness started to crumble.

He walked past Ryo into the apartment.  His fear started to rise.

The door closed behind him.  His mind froze.

Ryo grabbed his arm, hard enough that his nails broke skin.  Yes, that was definitely the last of the certainty he had when he left the hospital.

Dragging him down the hall, Ryo threw him into the bedroom.  Fear completely took over.

Oh, god, this was a bad idea.  Why was he here?  What had he come for?  He was so terrified he couldn’t even remember anymore.  No… no no no nononono…

Ryo told him to get on his knees.  He did it.

Why had he come here?

Ryo backhanded him and told him to get on his knees again.  He did it.

He shouldn’t have come.

Ryo wanted him to suck his cock.  He did it.  Or, he started to.  Ryo took control and for a moment it was just so familiar and so awful and he was working so hard to not gag because he knew Ryo wouldn’t let up even if he did and his head was screaming at him and he couldn’t do it anymore.  And he pulled away from a surprised Ryo, backing away even though he knew there was nowhere he could go and that it was going to anger Him.

What had he come here for?  He had a reason.  There was a reason.  There… he wouldn’t have come without a reason.  Stop panicking, remember…

Pain spread across his face when Ryo backhanded him again.  The elder grabbed him by the hair and dragged him across the room.

Stop panicking.  Why had he come?  Why why why why…

Grabbing ties from the dresser, Ryo dragged Kame to the foot of the bed.

Why…?

He kneed Kame in the stomach.  Kame tried to get his breath back, coughing.

Why…?

Ryo had him by the wrist now and was starting to wind the tie around it.

Why…?

Oh, the knife!  The knife!  He had taken it off the floor of the hospital room.  Shoving his free hand hard into his pocket, he grabbed the handle, pulled it out, and in one fluid motion stabbed deep into Ryo’s shoulder.

In shock, the man fell away from him, releasing his other wrist.  Kame kept a hold of the blade so it did not stay in Ryo’s shoulder, though the act of falling caused the blade to cut up a bit as well so that it was a slash and stab combined instead of just a stab wound.

Ryo might be the faster person, but surprise was on Kame’s side.

When Jin got to the apartment, he found Nishikido’s front door unlocked.  Without a second thought as to what might await him on the other side of the door, he burst into the apartment.

To his left, he could hear Nishikido’s enraged shouting coming from either the bedroom or the bathroom.  As he got closer, he could tell it was definitely the bedroom.

“You stupid little slut!  Think you’re so powerful with that in your hand…” and a grunt of pain that didn’t sound like Kame (as best as Jin could tell, considering how little Jin had actually heard from Kame).  Nishikido started screaming at Kame again and he actually sounded almost afraid to Jin.

What was going on?

He threw the bedroom door open.  It took a moment for his eyes and mind to process what was in front of him.

Kame had Nishikido fairly cornered.  Nishikido was bleeding from several wounds.  None of them in and of themselves looked life-threatening but some of them were damn close to vital organs and he was bleeding a good bit.

Kame was clutching a knife and had blood on his hand and clothes.  Wait, wasn’t that Yamashita’s knife?  The one…   Oh, god.  Kame must have grabbed it and come here to kill Nishikido.  And it wasn’t that he could blame him.  He understood.  But…

It was Kame.  After everything the boy had been through, he didn’t need a murder on his conscience to deal with as well.  Jin had to stop this!

Jin threw both arms around Kame’s waist and pulled him back away from Nishikido.  He saw the knife just barely split the topmost layer of skin across the side and part of the front of the man’s neck; if he hadn’t grabbed Kame right then, that would have been a fatal blow.

Kame fought him, trying so hard to pull out of his grasp and get to Nishikido to finish what he’d started.  Jin held tightly and wouldn’t let go.  He gently took the knife out of Kame’s hand and pulled him all the way against his chest, hugging him tightly.

“Kame, Kame… you’re better than this.  Please, stop this.  Stop.  It’s okay; the cops will be here any minute.  You don’t have to do this.  Trust me, please!  You’re not a killer.  You’re a sweet, wonderful person with a nice sense of humor and I love you so please trust me.  The cops can do this.”

“Jin…” and the damn broke completely.  Kame turned more towards Jin and buried his face against the older’s chest, sobbing uncontrollably.  “Jin Jin jin jinjinjin…”

“Shh…  I know, Kame.  I know.  But it’s better like this, I think.  You don’t need the weight of someone’s life on you, even if you have good reasons.  Trust me.”  His mind flashed back on that kid he’d killed in self defense.  “You don’t want that.  I don’t want to see you have to bear that.”

Kame cried harder and harder so Jin just held him tighter and tighter while still keeping an eye on Nishikido to make sure he didn’t try anything funny.  It wasn’t all that much longer before the cops showed up and they patched up Nishikido and took him away.  When the man started screaming about Kame and Jin and the knife, Jin told them it was self defense and it only took one look at Kame for them to believe him.

Ever since the incident at the hospital, the cops were prone to believe the worst of Nishikido anyway.  Near-instant karma?

Slowly Kame stopped sobbing and whispered, “Tired, Jin.  Tired.”

“I know.  Shh…” and he kissed the younger on the forehead.  “You need to go back to the hospital.  I’ll ask the detective if that’s okay.”

“Not leave me…”

Shaking his head, Jin said, “I’m not leaving you.  I’m going with you.”

That seemed to satisfy Kame.  The younger let go of Jin long enough to let him go talk to the detective and, after promising the man he’d be able to find them both at the hospital for the next few days, the man let them go, though he had one of the cops drive them to make sure they went where Jin said they would.

When they got back to the hospital and were finally in the room again, Kame’s IV redone and all that, Kame scooted over enough to allow Jin to climb into bed with him and they went to sleep, Kame snuggled tightly against Jin’s chest.

It was probably against hospital policy but after everything that had happened, Jin figured everyone was politely looking the other way.

Kame had to stay in the hospital for over a week.

The hospital staff let him stay the whole time with Kame, though he occasionally darted next door to check on Yamashita.

With Nishikido finally in jail, did that mark the end of Kame’s nightmare?

Jin surely hoped so.
