Title: Find Me
Pairing: Jin x Kame
Rating: NC-17
Genre - Catch Me: AU, angst, romance, smut, drama, tragedy
Beta by: my cat.  okay, seriously, nobody
Disclaimer: I don't own KAT-TUN, any of its members, any other JE people.  I write this for fun and for other fans of these fine folks.  But don't steal my plots, mmkay?  I put a great deal of time into them except for when I'm randomly spastically spitting words onto a page.  But I value those too...
Summary - Catch Me: A dramatic turn in his life throws Kame into Jin's college world.  Almost immediately they notice an attraction, but they spend more time clashing than not.
Summary - Lose Me: Kame and Jin still have the occasional argument but mostly they live happily together.  But when someone from Kame's past shows up, will the two be able to deal?
Summary - Find Me: Kame has been kidnapped.  Will he and Jin ever be reunited?

Warning: While "Catch Me" part is more towards the fluffy end of the scale at times, the other three parts have such things as drugs and murder and rape and all the fun parts of a bad neighborhood in a big city.  Oh, and character death(s).

A/N: I'm sure you're all impatient for this after last night's cut.  So here you go!

Find Me
Second Cut ~A Yellow Building~

Jin didn’t bother going to classes.  When his friends got back from a class they had in common with Ryo, they told him Ryo was still attending.  Well, at least attending those subjects.  But Ryo disappeared for large blocks of time at random parts of the day.  Jin spent all of his time in the dorm common room, staring at the picture sticker of him with Kame on Kame’s phone, waiting for his Kazu-chan to walk through the front door to the dorms.

Ryo did not return that night until right around midnight.  If he was able to slip away after his last class on foot but still return the same night, he must have Kame somewhere in the city…

Maybe if he waited outside class the next day, he could follow Ryo to Kame?  It was better than doing nothing.

Jin slept on the couch in the common room, just in case Kame did come home.

Ryo ducked to avoid Ueda’s fourth punch.  He charged low, hitting Ueda in the stomach with his shoulder to bring him down to the ground.  Ueda, however, rolled to the side when his back hit the ground so that Ryo didn’t come down on top of him.  He swung up to a sitting position and grabbed Ryo around the neck from behind, choking him.

The fight would probably have gone on even longer, but campus security showed up and pulled Ueda off of Ryo, dragging both of them to the dean’s office.

Jin’s brilliant plan to follow Ryo would have to wait.  Instead, he followed his friend, sneaking to eavesdrop on the conversation at the dean’s office.

“He attacked me!” Jin heard in Ryo’s voice.

Then, in Ueda’s voice, “Our friend is missing and you were bragging about it and wouldn’t tell us where you put him!  What are you doing to him?”

“I just said I wasn’t surprised Kamenashi ran away from Jin and this guy attacks me, completely unprovoked!”

The conversation continued like that, in shouts, for some time while the dean attempted to quiet them both down.  But in the end, it looked bad for Ueda that Ryo had a black eye and a split lip while Ueda had thrown the first punch and didn’t have a scratch on him.

If it had been anyone other than Ueda, they’d have expelled him.  As it was, they suspended him from classes for a week under the restriction he was not to leave the dorm.

Ryo was not punished.

Sometimes life just wasn’t fair.

Jin snuck back out to wait for Ueda.  He didn’t want to be caught eavesdropping.

As the two walked back to the dorm, Jin complained to Ueda, “I’d have helped.”

“I know.  He just made me so mad!  Offering something like that…”

Jin’s attention snapped fully to Ueda.  He put his hand on Ueda’s shoulder to stop him.  “Offering what?”

The look Ueda gave him stopped his heart.  It was a look that said, oh, shit, I’ve said more than I wanted to.

“Offering what?” Jin asked once more.

“Jin, I don’t think…”

“Offering what?”

Ueda’s hand shot out to catch Jin’s wrist before he answered.  “He said that if I liked the tapes I got from him before, he could make an even better one for me, for the right price.”

“I’m going to put him in the fucking ground.  Right now, in the fucking ground.  He’s a dead man!”  But Ueda’s surprisingly tight grip on his wrist wouldn’t let him go anywhere.  He tried to pull his arm away but his friend refused to let go.

“He’s the only one who knows where Kame is.  We’ll never find him without Ryo.”

“Fine!” Jin spat.  “But tomorrow I’m going to follow him to Kame and then I’m going to kill him.”

“I’ll bring the shovel.  We can bury the damn tapes with him.”

“Deal.”

The next day, Ueda promised to wait in the common room just in case Kame found his way home on his own.  Jin hid down the hall to wait for Ryo, so that he could follow him… hopefully straight to his Kazu-chan.

Ryo took a long, winding route with many stops so it was impossible to predict his final destination.  Jin did his best to keep up but somewhere after the conbini he lost track of him.  He resolved to try again the next afternoon, and every afternoon following, until he rescued Kame.

But Ryo never came back to campus.

Not that night.  Not the next night.  Not even Sunday.  Jin sank deep into a depression he couldn’t shake.  He barely ate and spent all day and night in the dorm common room.  His friends offered to take shifts but he wanted to be there himself, just in case.

Ryo came back to see him some time later (Ryo claimed it was only Thursday, but Kame really had no way of knowing).  At least Ryo had brought him a cot.  How very considerate…

He also brought more food.

Once again, Ryo took him on the stone floor.  Kame just laid there staring up at the darkness of the ceiling and let him, though he couldn’t keep himself from crying out in pain.

Kame was surprised that Ryo didn’t immediately leave when he finished.

“Eat with me, Kazu-chan.”

Kame, eyes still wet with tears, angrily shouted at Ryo, “Don’t call me Kazu-chan!  You don’t get to call me Kazu-chan!”

“Fine.  Don’t eat.”

And Ryo snatched up all the food and left with it.

+++

The next days (Kame had no idea how many) were pretty much the same.  Ryo tried to act friendly.  He’d tell Kame to eat with him, or just sit and talk with him.  Kame had to eat, so he didn’t turn down the food, but he refused to chat.

And he refused to acknowledge Ryo if he called him Kazu-chan or even just Kazu.  This inevitably pissed off Ryo and Kame paid for it in pain and degradation.  He felt himself dying bit by bit.  He was sure if he didn’t escape soon, he’d fade away, leaving only a lifeless body behind.

So he hatched a plan, albeit a simple one.

He bundled the blanket up on the cot, to look like he was lying down with his back to the door.  He put the lit lantern on the folding card table near the cot and then went to stand with his back against the wall, just to the side of the door.

When Ryo eventually showed up, he stepped into the room… right past where Kame was waiting.  Kame pushed Ryo further into the room, slammed the door behind him with all his might, and made a break for it.

He tore past all manner of wreckage and rubble which he flung into the path behind him to slow down Ryo if he gave chase.  Once he was out of the building proper, he picked a direction down the alley at random, until he came out to a dingy street.

He realized he had no notion of where he was.  Maybe he could find a phone?

+++

Jin’s phone was ringing.  It wasn’t a number he recognized.

“Moshi moshi?”

In that familiar voice Jin so missed, his Kazu-chan cried out, “Jin?”

Bolting to a sitting position, Jin shouted into the phone, “Kazu!!”

Kame was sobbing, “I don’t know where I am… come get me, Jin, please!  He’s…”

“I’m coming.  I’m coming.  Tell me what you see… I’ll find you!”

“There’s some alleys and a big yellow building with busted win… Oh, god!  Please, no, I can’t go back!  Jin’s coming for me!  Jin’s coming to save me.  No… no!  Jin!!”

Jin could barely make out Ryo’s voice in the background saying, “Let go of it, Kazu!”

Kame cried, “No, I won’t let go!  Don’t touch me!  You don’t get to touch me ever again!  Jin!  Jiiiiiin…!” and then Jin heard the sound of Kame’s anguished cry as the phone clattered from Kame’s hands.

“Kazu-chan!” Jin screamed into his phone, as loudly as he possibly could.  “Kazu, speak to me!  Kazu!”

But his Kazu-chan was gone once again.

Third Cut ~Apologies~

A/N: Okay, it wasn't a well thought-out plan but at least he's trying, right?  At least he hasn't lost all of his strength, his willpower.  Shame he didn't think to lock the door behind him, trapping Ryo.

Ryo's not gonna be happy about this, not after trying to be so friendly (his words, not mine LOL.  Well, except that his words ARE mine... but I swear, sometimes characters get a life of their own) for days and days.
