In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
While I'm not usually a big resolution maker (I feel worse about failing to live up to unrealistic plans than I feel good about achieving smaller steps in pursuit of those goals), having a new job teaching at a college comes with its own goals: finish the syllabus, show up and be present for my students and this new experience, follow through on plans.
In a fannish sense, I want to finish the Long Thing I've been talking about for years; this year I'm not signed up for any Big Bangs or Bingo challenges, so I can't use any other fannish excuses to push it to the back of the queue. And I've worked on it a little bit every day so far in 2017. I hope to keep that up. There are several other fics I really want to work on, but I'll have more fun with them if I clear this off the decks first.
