I went to Warren Buffet's
Drive2Vote website to volunteer rides to the polls, because this election has me so stressed out I want to do something but I just cannot phonebank (which I did for Obama) or canvas. Talking to strangers and my introverted anxiety are not mixy things, at least not right now. I can barely bring myself to interact with people I know because of what this election has done to my faith in my fellow human beings.
[*deletes rant*]
But for my district, they already have enough drivers. Which is great, but I was really hoping there would be something I could do, you know?
I have work I need to do but I don't know if I can work through the distracted panic of the next 48 hours. I may have to resort to unrestrained cleaning and crafting and just work myself into an exhausted frenzy.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for something to do, and if you have a car and feel safe sharing it with others who are committed to the democratic process, maybe try the website and see if you can help drive people to the polls where you are? Just a thought.
