I went to a nephew's baseball game tonight and I knew the wind was picking up (gusting past 40 mph) and the temp was dropping (from 59F to 38F, it turned out), so I wore a tank top, a long-sleeved, thick t-shirt, a big fleece-lined hooded sweatshirt, leggings, jeans, and two pairs of socks. One inning in, I added a thick polar fleece jacket and mittens.
Two hours after it ended and I got inside, I am still trying to get feeling back into my feet.
At least my fingers aren't numb anymore. I had to start the car and hold my hands in front of the vents to get them warm enough to drive.
So thankful for a hot water bottle and four blankets on my bed.
