"Have you ever heard about The Addam's Family?"
Xiumin gulped, he didn't understand why he did that but he did.
"Y-Yes, I have actually."
The male in front of him flashed him a beautiful smile.
"Oh, don't be so worried sweetheart. If you know about the Addam's family then I'm sure you already know what this means."
Tao entered the room and plops himself next to his lover.
"Stop scaring him, mother."
Junmyeon stands, body elegant even when he is indeed a male, his head was up but his eyes never leaving Minseok's.
"He deserves to know about the family, Tao. After all, he'll be joining us next time."
Tao shakes his head as Minseok watches as Junmyeon opens the door before the other can even knock, scaring the mail man out of his wits.
"Don't be bothered by umma, baby. Umma is, a little out."
Minseok though thought else wise.
Firstly was the fact that when Tao said he lives in a really huge house, the male didn't expect it to be like a haunted mansion what not with beheaders and axes decorating their porch, their exterior had slanted windows and their main door was double sided and it was huge! Minseok's eyes widen when he saw the graveyard behind the Wu household, half of himself screaming to run for it, but of course he didn't.
Second was the fact that they had butlers. Not just any butlers but the olden day type of butlers whom would serve the generations until they die, the male at the door was definitely one of them. To add to his points, Minseok definitely saw a butler running past him after a child but when he blinked they were gone. Tao laughed and said of course they were gone, they were running but Minseok could had sworn they ran through him instead of pass him.
Another reason why he found everyone of them out was the fact that his mother - whom Tao described as his love of his life, his inspiration, his motivator, his queen, his boss, his everything what not being beautiful and sweet and loving and all those things that Tao loves to exagerate about- was actually a man, who was creepy since he would smile that half smirking half sweet smile and his dressing...
... Let's just say Minseok couldn't stop staring at his lover's mother cause he only wore a large Tee with shorts, exposing his milky legs.
And then there was Tao's father who looked like he hasn't sleep in years.
... Okay maybe that was an exageration. But his father was so spooky, his eyes were so deep in his eye bags yet at the same time so sharp. His eye bags were dark and his face a little too pale for the leader of the house.
Next was the fact that he literally heard laughter all around the house. Tao explained to him that he has younger siblings, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents and a lot more people in the house but when they heard the laughter approaching them Tao shut Minseok's eyes, a hissing sound was heard.
"Uncle Jongin! Put on a shirt, I have my boyfriend here today. Mother told you to behave!"
"Oh come on, TaoTao. It's fine! Besides, Kyungsoo said it was okay."
"Uncle." Tao warned,"I'm telling umma about your peanut and butter jelly incident."
Immediately the male put on his shirt and smiled towards Minseok.
"Hello, there."
Minseok looked at Jongin and his hand and back at the male. He shook the hand and smiled forcefully and the other male gave him the exact smile as Tao's mother did. The older male left not a moment too soon and Minseok turned to Tao.
"Who's that?"
"That's Uncle Jongin. He's umma's younger brother."
As Tao brought him more around the house, Minseok soon forgot his countdown about why he begged to differ Tao's words about his own mother.
Minseok was then brought to meet Tao's younger siblings. They had a play area for the kids, and by kids, there was a lot of them.
Did Minseok say Tao introduced them one by one? No? Then yes he did.
"This is Sehun, my birth brother. This is Luhan, his fiancé. This is Baekhyun, Uncle Jongin and Aunt Kyungsoo's son. This is Chanyeol, Baekhyun's husband. This is Daehyun and that over there is his brother Jongup. Youngjae here is Daehyun's lover and Junhong here is Jongup's playmate. Dae and Gup are Aunt Himchan and Uncle Yongguk's kids. This here is Taemin and that's his lover, Minho. And...," Tao looks around and sees who is missing and notices the pouting person rocking in his rocking chair,"That beautiful and wonderful person over there is Jaejong Haelmoni."
Minseok bowed to him and he almost jumped out of his skin when he saw that half of the said grandma's face was only bones and flesh without skin, his face had deep opened scars while being beautiful. Tao and Jaejong noticed this and they laugh trying to cover it up by saying they tricked Minseok and when the pretty male turned to scowl at Tao and back at Jaejong, his face was perfectly fine.
Minseok had his eyes wide as he was led out of the room. Tao turned and saw Jaejong smiling fondly at him, the male had the same smile both his umma and Uncle Jongin had on his face. The kids was a totally different story though, Tao didn't miss the fact that their decoy toys were all changed to violent play of how to blow people up or how to building amazing engineering with just toys.
The next stop was downstairs - which the smaller realized was the basement- were Minseok met with an Aunt Himchan. This male smiled the most charming smile he had ever seen, his eyes foxy and mysterious, immediately drawing in anyone's attention to himself. The eye contact cut short though when another male appeared. He had a scary face with his eyes set to kill. Aunt Himchan smacked his husband and pouted saying he's scarying Minseok, the male sighed and pulled off his scary face. His effort though made him receive a kiss and that bloomed into something. Just as they were kissing, the pot in front of them starts bubbling furiously and Himchan breaks the kiss chuckling.
"Oh, don't be so jealous, Hyosung. It's just Yongguk."
Minseok looks around to see to whom Tao's aunt is talking too but when he failed to find the person, he faced the front and he sees Himchan smiling that smile, the same smile plastered on Junmyeon's and Jongin's face.
Did he just talk to the pot in front of him?
Tao sighed as he walked to the kitchen. Somehow half of him already know that as much as he told everyone to not freak Minseok out cause it's been a while since he had a lover, they all chose to backfire on their word.
In the kitchen was Aunt Kibum and Uncle Jonghyun, the two of were fussing over something and when Tao entered the kitchen, they heard a cupboard door slam shut and the married couple had a - very much forceful awkward and sheepish- smile on their face.
Tao looked at them and then at the cupboard and he knew what they were hiding, again he sighed and introduced Minseok to his relatives and as much as Tao didn't like the fact that he were hiding their now raging toy in the cupboard, he couldn't help but thank them silently for behaving. Minseok though still had his eyes wide open at the sight of his relatives. On one hand, Aunt Kibum was too beautiful and he could had sworn the older's hands were much too cold when they shook hands while Uncle Jonghyun's eyes looked as if they didn't have a soul in it, both though had a beautiful and friendly smile on their faces.
When Kibum hinted for Tao to leave, Tao immediately caught it and ushered Minseok out. He shut the kitchen door and quickly walked to a save distance. An explosion was heard from the kitchen and Minseok jumped out of his skin. The sounds of laughter from Aunt Kibum and Uncle Jonghyun bounced on the walls followed after.
When Minseok stopped staring backwards and finally turned in front, Junmyeon was right in his face and again, Minseok jumped out of his skin. Tao whined and his umma swatted him away.
"Oh come on Taotao, umma needs to admire his face!"
"Umma you can see him clearly from where you're standing."
"I don't have my contact lens on."
"You never wear contact lens."
"Oh! You're right! I don't!"
Tao rolled his eyes and Minseok just continued staring at them.
"Let's go Min."
The duo left the house after Tao announced them leaving, they all said their goodbyes and soon they were at the train station.
"I'm sorry if my family scared you."
Minseok touched his boyfriend's cheek.
"It's okay. I like your family."
"No you don't. You're just scared of them."

"Tao."

"We are weird, umma is scary cause he calls the shots in the house instead of appa, Uncle Jongin likes to walk around half naked and likes to explode himself, Aunt Himchan talks to the soul in her spell pot named Hyosung, appa looks like he hasn't slept in days, and of course Aunt Kibum has an unknown being as his pet. Let's not forget the graveyard and-"

"Shut up, Wu Zitao."
Tao looked at him with wide eyes.
"Shut up. I don't care that there were ghost running around your house or how you have ancient traditional murder weapons in your porch and backyard. I dont care that you have goblins and gargoles as your statues and as your doorbell. I don't care that your umma is practically the queen of the house cause he just is. I don't care that your appa is half vampire, I don't care that your grandma is indeed half human half skeleton, I don't care that your siblings are all monsters in the making, I don't care that Uncle Jongin never dies, I don't care that Aunt Himchan casts spells like its nothing and I absolutely don't care about Aunt Kibum's Incubus Pet because all I want to know is that you love and trust me like I do. I love you, Zitao, no matter what."
Tao looked at him with wide eyes.
"You're not scared of my family?"
"Do you love me?"
"I-I could be-"
"Do you love me?" Minseok asked, his smile dropping into a frown when Tao didn't answer him. He soon understood and turned,"I get it then."
Tao who was still frozen immediately grabbed Minseok's arm.
"I love you. I loved you since day one, I love you now, I will love you forever. I love you so much you don't know how much and I can't express how much because there isn't a term yet to describe it but when I find out I'll tell you. So now I'll just settle with an I love you."
Minseok had tears in his eyes when he heard that. He smiled and hugged Tao.
"I love you too, Tao."
After the making up, Tao waves to Minseok as the older boards the train to home. The train leaves and Tao turns, immediately jumping out of his skin when he sees his umma and Aunt Himchan there waving and smiling as well.
"W-What are you two doing here?" He sluttered, embarassed about the scene earlier.
"Oh nothing." Junmyeon said,"Come on, Channie. Let's get home."
"It's been a while hasn't it, Myeonnie?"
Tao who walked next to them turned.
"Been a while for what?"
"Hmm?" Himchan said," Oh, it's just been a while to see another one of us."
"What do you mean?" Tao stopped in his tracks, eyes widening and eyebrows scruntching.
The duo continued walking before Junmyeon turned behind and said.
"Didn't you know? Minseok's a Kim too."
And Tao deadpanned.
