What Do You Have To Say? - Winters in my Childhood

Dec 16, 2007 11:08

Cold.  Wet.  Rain falls from the sky.  Winter is no different than spring or fall.

Every year, I wish for a Christmas with snow.  I want snow to cover the driveway, leaving an even carpet of pristine white ice crystals for me to leave footprints in.  I want icicles to hang from my roof, and frost to coat the sleeping plants.  I want to take a picture of a snowy day to put on a card, or to use as a background on my laptop.  I want to throw snowballs at my friends and get pelted with slush when I manage to get it right down their collar.  I want it to snow.

But no matter what I want, it's not going to snow.  It rarely ever snows here.
