I've been absent from Livejournal for the past month and a half. My reasons:

Tumblr
Final exams
Writing challenges (from Tumblr)
Coming home after exams
Being with my family without my laptop in front of me
Minecraft
The Sims
Christmas (more about that later)
Tumblr
XBox 360 and four wonderful games that go with it.

I will try to address these as best as I can.

Tumblr took me over a little while before I posted last. I thought I could take it. I thought I could be a big girl and operate a Tumblr, a Livejournal, a Facebook, final exams, fanfics, and organize all the end-of-semester social events with my friends, all at the same time. Instead, I dropped off the face of Livejournal and did nothing but study, read fanfics (I wrote nothing, save for one Christmas challenge), and plunk around on Tumblr while other people were in the room. Even then, final exams were a disaster, especially the Probability one. The Linear Algebra was just as bad. All my Psych classes went pretty well though.

Well, Bri and I were coming home on the same bus and she and I had a fantastic idea. Rather than take sleeping pills the night before and wake up well-rested for the long trip home, why didn't we just stay up all night and sleep on the bus? Thus began a long night of giggling, Minecraft, Lucky Charms, and (towards the end) sheer, unbridled panic as I speed-cleaned the room while Bri was on the phone with her dad about the bus ticket.

Another decision, made at the peak of sleep madness was "Instead of spending fifty dollars on a taxi, why don't we just take the public bus?" So we ended up running all the way to the bus-stop, then got to wander through Albany all bleary-eyed from lack of sleep until my amazing navigational skills led us to the Greyhound station (I'm not kidding about the navigational skills. I was running on my internal compass for the whole walk).

After we get to the terminal, we start to go inside. Bri suddenly says, "Megan, don't look down." What's the one thing you do when someone tells you not to look down? I look down and there's this enormous pigeon next to the door. Having a fear of birds that is completely unwarranted without having watched any Hitchcock movies, I scream and jump away from the thing. Having ample experience with pigeons, Bri ushers the huge thing away from the door and chides me all the while for "scaring the poor thing." The poor thing scared me more, I promise. So Bri slept in the terminal for a while, I stayed up and watched our bags for an hour and a half.

When we finally got on the bus, it came to my attention that the bus driver might have been slightly unhinged. She was extremely unprofessional when running everyone through the traditional "This is what is and is not allowed on the bus" speech, but I didn't pay much attention to that. It was early. She was completely within her rights to be lax at 9 in the morning, a week before Christmas. But then we noticed that she was talking to herself quite a lot. And whistling and singing enough to the point that neither of us were going to be getting any sort of sleep any time soon. Then the lady revealed that she had quite a lot of road-rage to her. As in cussing out the passing trucks and jamming on the brakes every few minutes.

Longest trip to Boston ever.

The trip from Boston to Portland was really uneventful. We ended up getting a movie while in that bus. Toy Story 3. I hadn't seen it before and didn't know what to expect. All I knew was that Andy was going to college and that it contained nightmare fuel beyond my wildest dreams. Ahaha... Ahahahahaha... Oh my God!

So, Christmas was amazing. Lots of clothes, quaterzaz drew an awesome picture of Grell for me (again, thank you so much!), and much merriment was had.

The day after Christmas, I went and bought an XBox 360, along with Bioshock, Fable II, Assassin's Creed II, and (dramatic effect) Final Fantasy XIII. Lightning has earned all of my love, I can't stop playing Fable II, Bioshock is amazing, and Assassin's Creed II is all kinds of fun (and Ezio looks like a living Raziel. Eeeeeee!)

And now it's almost four in the morning and I need to sleep.

final fantasy 13, friends, classes, bioshock, finals, school, final fantasy, video games, assassin's creed, fable
