Animation rant
Alright I mean Nick is known for their... interesting programing and art (fairy Odd parents Spong bob, Nick toons, Danny Phantom)
and while CN(Cartoon Network) has made a name for itself in the cutting edge of anime dubbed, UNcut animated adult shows, and their wide range of stlyes. (edd ed and eddy PPG, Johny Brovo, Courega the Cowardy Dog,Life and times of Jen. Lee)
of cousre Disney is falling behind of cousre with their whole 'kiddish' mix of anime and their own style.(Kim Possible, WITCH, Dargon Lee(?))
I mean take Teen Titens -great- show badly animated int he time that CN studios puts into it. I often see a ton of small but sitll ther emistakes.
for Nick they are cleaner at lest but they try to be cutting edge (which drives CN to do the same take a look at Ed edd and Eddy it is like they ripped off an old stlye of Nick) While Sponge bob is fine i suppose animation wise it's only use is to fuel mindless entertantment and boost up mass amounts of money now. While Fairy Odd parents is following into the ';anime' catagory it still holds up as the PPG stlye that both CN and Nick capitalize on and fight over
Nearakun: then you have Danny Phatom, it is like they took the idea of PPG and Fairy odd parents and made them older, while the animtion isn't as smooth and a little choppy at times the plot (or 'ghost' plot I like to call them) keeps the show somewhat enjoy able tho there is not any real story and it is mostly going ep to ep with a differnt but same plot sorta like Super Man and Bat man
Nearakun: Don't get me started on ABC/Disney's/Toon Disney's Witch, that while somewhat enjoyable not to fun if your actually looking for a stable plot. Often while watching it you find yourself 'huhing' at something they say because without any problem they change what they first said in a differnt ep. It has no constitances to the promise plot instead they change it around each ep.
Totally spies is just another mindless entertment show not to be watched ep after ep after ep. It seems like it was one of those failed attemps at the stlye the Japanese have capitalized on and changed into something only their studios can put out.
Lastly I bring myself to avatar: the last air bender. FOr once i am shocked at the american animaters FINALLY they put out something that is worth watching multi of times and doesn't hurt your brain. For the first time in a long time I myself one of the most pickest down right nasty when it comes to animation person i know, found something that I can't find any real errors with. The animation for american wise is fuild and moves with greace and experiance. While the color toning could use some work no one is prefect. And i must say...i am utterly shocked and I will go after Nick if they do not finish it or if they rushed through it too quickly
