So I bought a bicycle today from The Bike Gallery in Beaverton. First one I've owned in about twenty years. It's a bright red Trek Multitrack 7300. Just a little too tall on the inseam but they didn't have one shorter, and I'm pretty short as it is. Got some accessories and rode it home, only about a mile distance and I'm exhausted. Also rode into a ditch and had a spill, got dirt all over me. I got the bike because I need to get in shape, you see, so I have a ways to go. I intend to start commuting to work by bike, which is about a four mile trip each way, so I'll have to work up to it. Happy to have gotten the bike, though, and I hope I can start making it a habit to ride it on a regular basis.
