Try the VA office of the Inspector General. It's their job to discipline personnel who don't comply with standards of care, directives, etc.

And, depending, a letter (physical) to General Eric Shinseki might well be appropriate.

At this point, I'm wavering between pursuing it further, & just not bothering. Either way, I will NOT be going to the clinic again.

I figure it this way. They've made their attitude regarding "my kind of people" plain & clear. Even if they DID say "Come on in, we'll 'take care' of you.", I would not be comfortable putting my care in their hands, or trust them.

You hit it dead center. No way I'd go there now.

The clinic in question is 15 mins away, & the biggest in the area so able to provide all I need. The other closest is an hr away, in curvy hills I wouldn't want to travel in winter weather, & I'm not sure how big they are. After that, the closest in several hours away.

I've given up with the senator's office, but am still working with Patient Advocates at Fayetteville for a resolution.

And I would like it made clear, as far my MY experiences have been, that the Fayetteville office has always been very helpful & respectful. Not very effective, but at least respectful. It's only Mt. Vernon, in SW MO, that seems to have "issues".
