Gracie the corn snake had to have the tip of her tail snipped off. The last .5cm was clearly dead, and the vet thought it would be best to remove the last ~2cm, where the constriction had been. (She had old sheds built up on the end of her tail. The effect is sort of like having a rubber band wrapped tightly around it.) She looks a lot less upset about it than I expected.
In happier critter news, the cats are getting a
new piece of cat furniture. It's about time; the sisal on their last tower is deader than dead. And the carpet on the uppermost tunnel doesn't look very good, either. It lasted them about 5 years, so I can't complain.
