The Blurb:
In a world where humans are no longer the hunters, but now the hunted, Laura Morgan discovers she’s a pawn between two of its deadliest creatures. She can run. She can hide. But what happens when she learns she’s not even human and could be the deadliest creature of them all?
Seventeen-year-old Grayson of Lorne wants to be an Eminent since they are the most powerful of panthan warriors. Grayson’s uncle promises he’ll be made one if he’ll help Laura. To him this female flies such a huge freak flag he's not sure it's possible. What Grayson can't get through his thick head is he's annoying and pushy and stuck on himself. And yeah, maybe he's a tiny bit of hotness.
What neither can understand is that some bonds form no matter how much you don't want them-especially ancient ones that only occur every seven thousand years.

Laura proves to be a strong and interesting character. She's independent and strong even though she has a traumatic history, and relies on herself to get things done. Being hunted by Panthans in the woods and subsequently being turned, she stumbles upon the hidden world of Pantheon, and discovers that the creatures she'd learned to fear her whole life might serve an entirely different purpose, and one that she must now share.
Add in Grayson, the future king and his world of high pressured expectations, and the two slowly forge a bond between them, whether they want to or not. The world in Panthan's Crucible is orginal, beautiful and frightening at the same time. There are specific rules to the world, and consequences if they are broken. The pain felt by both Laura and Grayson as they take on new roles and discover more about themselves in each other is palpable and realistic, and only leaves you wanting more.
This book is full of action, intrigue, hotness and a world you can melt into as you meet characters and discover the tension and very issues we deal with in our own society. Highly recommended, and can't wait for the next book to come out!
Check out this book if you're a paranormal/romance/action fan.
