May

I'm told it got to nearly 80˚ today. I don't know, I've been buried in a bit of a funk ever since my Sunday morning job at SAM (Seattle Art Museum) from midnight to eight A.M. I mostly enjoyed it thoroughly while I was there, but it totally wore me out, destroyed my weekend and wiped out the last two days.

I deliberately avoid most stores and TV because they make me feel needy, but that just made me feel underpriviledged with all the other specials the businesses around were offering. Discounted Seattle Symphony tickets, fine art, fashion clothing... I mentioned the symphony to just about everyone who got a ticket in, and one fellow smiled rather condescendingly and said, "That's not necessary, I've a season ticket." Oh-ho-ho-ho... don't I wish...

*sigh*

Anywho. My latest mole biopsy was well timed. One was mildly pre-cancerous. Margins were clear, no additional action required. I heal fast, so I could have the body stiches removed the same day I had the stiches on my neck removed.

We've had our future apartment confirmed in Shoreline with Mr. Lance, Greg's old landlord. It will be interesting to see what it looks like. The current tenant has been living there for 18 years, went through college and married while there, I think. He recently got an excellent opportunity and gave his notice. We'll probably be in July 1st.

My trip back to the NIH begins with a trip down to see Mom in Portland and then flying out Saturday the 19th. Once again I'll be very lightly packed and likely post daily just so Greg and all you prayer warriors know what's going on. I'll be home to the Seattle area again the next Sunday, probably. I fly into Portland Saturday the 26th.

And that will be May. I'm looking for full-time, direct-hire work here now, and like what I've seen so far. Nobody has responded to me, yet, though.
