Better late than never...

I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend, even though my fair bride, fyreseer, was quite under the weather. Much of it was spent doing mostly nothing... a little bit of freelance work, watching TV, cleaning up around the house.

Saturday afternoon I had the pleasure of making starwyse's fantabulous potato soup for my KCRF friends... starwyse did most of the hard part - shopping for all the ingredients and baking and scraping all the potatoes (25-30 lbs of potatoes, if I'm not mistaken).

I headed over to otterdancing and retdet's house about 4 and cooked up the bacon and onions and combined all the stuff into a couple of big pots to cook for a few hours. Yum! I really did enjoy myself - I don't get to cook all that often.

Unfortunately, I couldn't stick around to enjoy it with everyone. fyreseer was still sick and needed some medicine and stuff from the store. I was able to bring some soup home with me to enjoy later, though. Yum!

Sunday I headed out to KCRF about 12:30 (again, on my own - fyreseer stayed home to save her energy for rowangolightly and thebruce's handfasting that evening). Spent a few hours just wandering around, taking in all the sights, sounds amd smells, taking some pictures and bumping into a few people I knew. Thoroughly enjoyable - gorgeous weather!

I headed back to the homestead about 4 to collect fyreseer, and we headed back to faire, where we hung out for a bit before the handfasting. Documented seantaclaus getting thoroughly wenched before falling prey to the same fate myself - Oh, well, there are far worse fates than being subject to the attentions of Madame Red's dangerous beauties! ; )

rowangolightly and thebruce's handfasting was lovely... my congratulations and best wishes to them both!

Monday was pretty much more of doing nothing much... a nice respite from the woes of daily work. LOL!

I did get through my faire pictures and have posted them here.

Let me know if you'd like copies and I can email the originals to you - just jot down the filename(s) and give me an email address.
