Old friends

 My former boss called me last night.  Not one of the ones that laid me off in June but the one that got laid off with me 2.5  years ago.  He sounds good.  It took him a while to get another position, but he's been at a university job now for a year.  It's a lot more laid back than he was used to in corporate America and it sounds good on him.  I was very glad to hear from him and I did get a scolding for not keeping better in touch.  It's so glad to have friends still out there looking out for me.  It's funny he is frustrated by these 20-somethings that get their tech certifications but have no work ethic to go with them.  I've got plenty of work ethic but no certs to verify my knowledge. Of course I could correct that fairly easily.

But then I'm writing in LJ instead of correcting it.  Shame on me!  Oh, look at that, it's time for lunch.  I guess it will all have to wait.
