Telling Vala the truth would give her the chance to try something and possibly help Vala in the end. Max had always been the one to heal. But maybe, just maybe, if she focused hard enough, she'd be able to do it as well.

"If there was a way to make things better, faster, would you be interested?" She could feel her heart starting to pound, because who wouldn't be interested in getting better faster. But that meant she was going to have to explain. And she'd never willingly done so before. Peter and Angel? They had both known something was different. Vala, Vala thought she was a normal girl from New Mexico.
