Orphan Black is the best new genre show you are not watching.
Orphan Black owns my soul. I live for Saturdays now. Saturdays don't arrive fast enough. Once the season is over (please, please, PLEASE LET THERE BE A SECOND SEASON) I will die of withdrawal. I am sure of it.
The lead actress, Tatiana Maslany, is extraordinary--she plays no less than six characters on Orphan Black. It's not just changing her hairstyles and dressing her in different clothing that distinguishes each character she plays. She is SO GOOD at making each character different from one another personality-wise that I always forget it's the same actress playing all these people. <3 <3 <3
It's one of those shows that keeps getting better and better with each episode (1x05 aired last night--OH GOD IT WAS TENSE AND AWESOME AND IS IT NEXT SATURDAY YET??????). I recommend starting from the beginning. It's all pretty much just the one over-arcing story running through the whole series. I guess it's more like an expanded mini-series, really. I think there are going to be 9 or 10 episodes in season one. Again, PLEASE LET THERE BE A SECOND SEASON.
