I need a giddy icon.
I now own ALL seasons of The West Wing! And I got SUCH a good deal on them too, thanks to a couple of friends who were looking out for little-old me.
I swore I'd never do this... but my mood warrants one of these.
*squee*
I love this show. I was hooked from episode one, because a) One of my favourite writers, Aaron Sorkin

They're all stacked on the floor by the TV, decellophaned and inspected. The first three seasons are packaged one way (double-sided discs in a fold-out form = boo) and the next two are packaged another way (single-sided discs in a book form = yay), and the last two season packaged another way (single-sided discs in a fold out form = okay). It's odd, but who am I to complain? I love the little books with the pictures and descriptions. It just takes me back.
As for you... I believe the seasons you're interested in are 6 and 7. She comes on mid-way through season 6... maybe earlier. She was just a guest star then, someone who wasn't around in every episode. She's around more in season 7, when she was promoted to a regular. But there was so many people on that show, it was hard to call Annabeth a "main" character. She was brought as a sort-of replacement to C.J. (Allison Janney's character), but moved around in her role. She worked very closely with John Spencer (Leo), as you might have guessed from her interviews. It's funny that she came on at the end of the series, after Aaron had left the show. (They had been an item for a little while, you know.)
Anyways, I'm torn between wanting to watch the series in order, and wanting to go and watch my favourite episodes first. But they are here when you want them! And I won't charge like the library does. ;o)

I know when I got my Dark Angel DVDs, they were those fold out ones, and one season was missing the booklet with the episode guide. Because they were 2/$25 at Wal Mart, I thought maybe that was the reason - but I took the season back and had the girl open another box - which was also missing the booklet. Who knows what happened there. I'm sure there was one, because there is a spot for it, but ... oh well. I just printed up my own episode guide and labeled which eps were on which discs. But the fold out style is rather annoying too - I like just being able to take out one case and have the discs you want, without unfolding it all on the floor.
Oh no ... Allison Janney left The West Wing? Really? Did she leave closer to the end of the last season? That's strange. I thought she was on for the entire thing.
I had heard about Kristin and Aaron ... I think she was on Ellen and Ellen was harassing her about that, asking if they were dating. I believe she said something about them all playing pranks on each other on the set ... or maybe that when she was on PD, someone TP'd her trailer, and they thought it was Aaron. I don't remember exactly, but something like that. Kristin was pretty tight lipped about it, though.
Her most recent interview - months ago, of course, she said she was single, though. So who knows. She also told Kristin (you know, "Watch With Kristin"? Spoiler whore??) that she was single and that her mom was going to start trying to hook her up with Lee Pace, because she was secretly in love with him, and he was single too.
When I get an entire series (like my Dark Angel ones), I have that debate about whether to watch the episodes I remember as being great, and watching in order. I did watch those ones in order, about 2 - 3 a night for a few weeks. But then again, that was only 2 seasons. You could always go ahead and watch extras first (the best part of any DVD collection!) and then start from the beginning. Or even watch your favourite episodes from each season, in chronological order!

Oh... AJ didn't leave the show. Her character just changed roles. She had been Press Secretary, but in season 6, she got a promotion, and became Chief of Staff. So they had to get someone in to help in her replacement. That's where Kristin (aka Annabeth) came in. She didn't really take on the Press Secretary role, but she did help Toby, who did most of the work. Their scenes were kind of funny. In season 7, she moved to the presidential campaign and worked there, and by the end of the series, she was working for the new first lady (I think).
That was more than you wanted to know. Try not to get hooked on the show when you watch her episodes. If I had a good memory, I'd be able to tell you which ones to watch. Maybe when I get to that part of the series...
I don't really know exactly when Kristin and Aaron were together - whether it was before, during or after TWW. He was married for a few years during that time, and has a kid. I'm pretty sure they aren't together now, but are still friends. At least, that's what I interpreted.
*sigh* Back to work tomorrow! Darn - just when I finally found something to do!
