Ken Watanabe and Hiroyuki Sanada add up to wacky high-jinks galore!
In case you haven't been paying attention lately, I love Ken Watanabe. One of the amazing things about Ken is that he is a serious, intense actor who's able to project integrity, dignity, and an almost frightening authority. Yet when he's attending such posh events as glitzy award ceremonies or major Hollywood premieres, he can get as excited as a little boy on Christmas morning.
There are several pics out there of Ken at the LA premiere of Inception, say, or the 2004 Academy Awards where he's laughing, grinning, waving, and generally acting as though he's about to go on a carnival ride. This pic, though, is so far my absolute favorite. It's from the premiere of The Last Samurai. Ken's obviously glad to see his co-star, fellow hot Asian BAMF Hiroyuki Sanada.
Honestly, doesn't he look like he's about to pounce on Hiroyuki and take a bite out of him, vampire style? If Hiroyuki hadn't been taught martial arts by BAMF-X-treme Sonny Chiba, I might be a little worried.
The pictures of Ken and Tom "Couch Jumper" Cruise greeting each other at this same event are also quite LULZy... in an odd way. See what you think.
