I smashed a brown recluse on my wall a little while ago.  I'd never seen one before.  The upper of one of my big windows wasn't closed completely.

(blank-tan abdomen, violin-shaped marking on body... mine was relatively large, maybe nickel sized while walking... smashed him with a sandal, if you were curious)
