two posts in one day? unheard of.
but this one's too good to go without remark....
in philosophy class today, my professor, who is not normally a guy who strikes me as a particularly funny person, included a sizable serving of solid gold in the power point slides of his lecture.
on one of his slides about idealism, he was getting at a point about causal connections and such and such...anyway, written on the slide was:
"what do regularities have to do with causes?...
"Causes are what make it so that events are regularly connected"
and to my delight, he clicks on the underlined "make it so" in that sentence and a giant picture of Captain Picard flashes on the screen and Patrick Stewart gives the famous command in a booming voice that resounds throughout the lecture hall....so good.
