So the inevitable has happened. I was hoping that with a few days rest that I'd be able to return to the production of Cat on Hot Tin Roof before the end of my run on March 14th. As it turns out, I was wrong and after a long talk with my doctors and those behind the production, my run as Maggie the Cat is over.

The doctors said that if I continued on and didn't stay off my foot for the next six weeks, I would face a lifetime of chronic pain from the injury. I tore ligaments, and they need to heal. So, I'm out.

This makes me sad. I've been with the production back since October, and I put a lot in the role and into the production. Last week, I was telling people the show must go on. I was adamant about going back to the show. I guess it wasn't meant to be.

I'm not sure what I plan to do. I came out to Los Angeles for the premiere. I might just stay out here now. Without the call of Broadway, I have no real reason to be in New York City.
