I am currently coordinating the Canadian Biographies series. The first four people on the list are:
-Craig Kielburger, a children's human rights activist
-Emily Carr, a Canadian artist who broke all the rules
-Terry Fox, a Canadian hero who tried to run across Canada on a prosthetic leg to raise money for cancer research
-David Suzuki, a well-known genetics scientist and Japanese Canadian who endured internment during World War II
I am truly inspired by these people. They met astounding obstacles and continued their work/effort for an important cause. When I read the lives of these people, I realize that nothing is impossible.
Quote of the Day: "..I believe in miracles. I have to." - Terry Fox
