I got a promotion today. I am officially a Project Coordinator. More responsibilities means even the ching-ching starts rollin' in--woohoo!! Two more people quit. I am the only junior left amongst the senior staff. I have mixed feelings.
My new responsibilities include:
Creating/developing prototypes for new series
Assigning writers books
Assigning tasks and deadlines to photo researchers, editors, and designers
Taking the books to press
Proofing post-press material
Approving final graphics, content, and captions
In short, I'm the boss of certain projects. NICE! Right now, I am the project coordinator for 3 series: Amazing Animals II, Exploring Space, and Canadian Industries.
I'm content with this new progress in my career. Even if it is at Weigl.
