Hello!
Hey there! I'm AJ, brand new here. I followed someone over from FanFiction and lurked for a couple of days before deciding this looked like a good place to hang up my hat. It seems much friendlier than other places I've blogged. :)
So, about me a little. I'm old enough to be married and have 3 children over the age of 10. I've bounced around a lot in my life, cross-crossing the U.S. at least 4 times. The only other countries I've visited are Canada and Mexico; I'd love that to change anytime.
As I said, I came here from FanFiction. I've written and posted more than a few stories there. If you go there, you'll see my main fandom, Merlin. I discovered it after the series ended in the U.S. which is good because I could binge-watch it all in less than a week. It was bad because I missed the height of fandom, but c'est la vie. I quickly became obsessed and started writing my own stories January 2014.
That being said, I do read and watch other things, mostly in the fantasy/sci-fi genre. I blame my parents and the syndication of Star Trek. I follow pretty much anything superhero as well- the networks have been very kind lately.
Other things I enjoy doing can be seen on my profile. I've been reading full-length novels since I was 6. My parents had to take away my night-light, and I almost failed kindergarten because I preferred being alone (and I expressed myself better by writing, not verbally- still do). I am still happy being alone, though I love my family and enjoy spending time with them. Before the last year or so, it had been a long time since I'd written anything more complicated than an e-mail (academic papers in the course of my B.A.). So creative writing has been a refreshing challenge!
I'm putting my disclaimer here: I don't own Merlin (or any other t.v. show, etc.) I may write fan-fiction for. Which is too bad really.
So now I shall put on my poet/peasant blouse, turn on my playlist of love ballads and get to work editing my current WIP!
