Ahh, what a weekend. Drinking in Oxford on Friday (always good fun) and then catching up with Gus on the Saturday. We ended up meeting a bunch of old college mates and heading off to Reflex - one of a chain of nightclubs about which I had heard many things but which I had never dared visit before.
And what an experience I was missing out on. Ignoring the fact that the beer was cheap, the women numerous and reasonably attractive and the atmosphere pleasant and keen to party the very best bit about it was the music. Never have I been to a nightclub where I know all the words to (and like) every single track that gets played over the course of a two hour period.
Absolute heaven. And there's even one in Bristol as well.
It was also really good to spend some time catching up with Gus, which I haven't really done recently what with one thing and another. It just reinforced that its important to keep in touch with old friends, but also that they don't really change over time.
So I ended up smoking again, just like we did as teenagers. My poor lungs.
In other news, 'the wound' shall now have to be referred to as 'the big pink scar' as it seems to be healing up very well, despite the fact that I somehow managed to drunkenly rip the scab off the surface on Friday night.
