2nd Letter to my parents
My Dad and Step mom did not take the news of my transition very well. Infact I have not even spoken to them. My sister Ashly is the only one from that side of the fam who speaks to me. What she told me is that my dad just cant deal with it so he ignores it, and my step mom is taking the whole religous spin on it, worrying for my soul. I have my own thooughts and feelings on their reactions but that is another post.
Today I decided to write them again on the topic of my transition. The first time I wrote was a little over a year ago to tell them.
Dear Mom and Dad,
I have been meaning to write you for a while but have been going back and forth on if I should or not.
I know that my news last year must have been quite a shock for you. Im sure you have your own opinions on the matter..or perhaps you choose to ignore it. Whatever the case I want you to know you can call or write me if you ever want to speak about it with me. If you have any questions.
I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year. Things are doing great here.
